Having completed one of these kits, I can recommend their realism

Frank they look great.

Please excuse my ignorance on this but are these lasercut kits made of karton/cardboard or plasticards? If cardboards, are they strong enough to withstand any warpage, distortion caused by very humid environments ?

Thanks
Erkut

When building a laser cut wood kit, I was advised by the instructions to use solvent based paints rather than water soluble paints to prevent warping.

Any liquid will cause warping, I used water-based acrylics* with my kit without issue.

*In reality, unless I am painting a loco that requires a finish that will withstand harsher use, I exclusively use acrylics and powders.

Wow Surprised , and these are all cardboards??

I guess worth looking into because I am at the stage of searching for a depot complex with loading/unloading platforms.

I have checked Boyce's laser cut wood stuff, they are all US outline kits. I wonder if there are any makers of these wood kits in continental outline and for that matter any laser cut cardboard links that you can guide me to.

Erkut,

Please read all the posting in this thread, there are plenty of suggestions for manufacturers of cardboard kits for German buildings.

1. Busch
2. MBZ
3. Laser-cut.de
