Wassup?
No new forum members in four weeks, no new models in month of Sundays, not much happening. Is it me or can I blame climate change?

Alan Rees- 07-09-2007

Either it is you, or this is the reason: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=KbdyrRlYR2E

I got two new carriages two weeks ago, admittedly they were announced in January, and were new models by Brawa, not repaints. Or do you mean manufacturers announcing new/repainted products? John Waiting for a repainted class 75 and a new class 57

Ok I've just bought a twin centre and find it fun that the demo version of win digipet can run them round my little test layout. I also like it that it can run my FMZ locos. I've bought a Roco 110 I have the faller garage on order. I bought the table mounted Lux wheel cleaner. And some lenz gold chips. SJ

I've sworn repeatedly at my VT11.5 owing to derailments and useless decoder in the dummy. I've been out to my local station with still and video cameras. Dull weather meant poor pics, but I did get a 33/1 on the ex-SR General Manager's Saloon. I've loaned my Multimaus to a friend, so he can 'try before he buys'. I've added some coal dust and small lumps to the insides of some open wagons. And I still haven't decided between Köf I or Köf II- I prefer Köf IIs but the Piko model is such good value! Rich

Ah....Mungo Jerry - the first record I bought!!! I have been busy modelling - I am partway through building a Water Tower, a platform, a Fire Station, an overhead walkway, and a Station Building. I have just started weathering and will post pictures as soon as I'm done. Regards, Neil

What's the problem with your VT11.5 Rich. I've got one of these too although I haven't tested it yet. Dave.

I bought a whole load of Brawa D-Zug coaches, the Trix F-Zug coach set and some K.Bay ones on special at Modellbahn Kramm, also some Brawa Swiss wagons and some more building kits. I am in the middle of a Faller Swiss station then I beleive I am doing a Faller cinema after that

Re: Wassup?
can I blame climate change? Is that why the lupins aren't in bloom ?

Alan Rees- 07-11-2007

Still looking for lupins? Oh dear  Since 2 weeks, I've been carrying my camera around in the hope of capturing this rare species on a digital chip. Sadly to no avail. :waaa According to Cynthia, they are rampant in Welsh Patagonia http://www.cynthia.boxerman.co.uk/page21.htm

John Woodall- 07-11-2007

So we now have photographic evidence that these "lupins" are running free and rampant in Wales (kinda like the All Blacks last time they played in Cardiff) but only rumour and hearsay that they exist in Germany. We await further investigations with interest. John

Jon Price- 07-11-2007

i know this is a site for German railways, but confusing Wales with South America? tch tch

Alan Rees- 07-11-2007

Jon, are you suggesting that Patagonia is not in Wales ? http://www.patagonia-restaurant.co.uk/

Jacq Damen- 07-11-2007

With pinguins :D

Alan Rees- 07-11-2007

Penguin probably derives from the Welsh words pen (head) and gwyn (white), applied to the Great Auk, which had white spots in front of its eyes.
