Nice to see the press acting predicatbly again. Hyperbole and mis-information once more...
I recently read a couple of bits of safety documentation relating to this incident.
First, it appears the guy collapsed in the cab with his hand still on the dead-man's handle. The brakes were released accidentally and the train rolled back down the tunnel. A bit of good fortune meant the following train wasn't in the next station back when the train sped through. The driver managed to drive the train into a station where he effectively signed off. Further investigations pending.
The other document related to the safety of the anti-rollback system that wasn't fitted to this train...

Ahhhhhhhh, the power of the press.
I could almost guarantee that nothing of the cause will be reported.
It is like all the level crssing accidents. The train swerved out of its way to hit the car/truck at the level crossing. Its never the truck/car drivers fault!
