Well my Trumpeter Kriegslok kit (1:35 scale) has arrived and have already started to glue things up this lovely sunday afternoon. Erkut Baykal

You should try and motorise the Kriegslok; would look great chuffing around a garden!

Trumpeter BR 52
Well my Trumpeter Kriegslok kit (1:35 scale) has arrived and have already started to glue things up this lovely sunday afternoon. Erkut Baykal It seems like a nice enough kit. Good luck with your build Erkut. I have finished motorizing and building the Trumpeter Panzer Spahwagen and it has proven challenging to say the least. I have, thanks to advice from a fellow member here, managed to get it around a 36 inch radius. Motorizing theTrumpeter BR 52 would be IMHO a major challenge. If you attempt it do let us know how it progresses. Cheers from the Heart of the Continent Will

Hi Erkut Are you building the kit as it comes or are you adding any extra parts? If I remember correctly these are made by Czech Model. I am very tempted by this kit and if it had a Wannen tender then I would certainly get one. I would change the smoke deflectors as those in the kit represent a wooden variety that must have been very rare. I hope the build goes well. Hi guys, to say the least the kit is very very challenging. To motorize it? No thanks, I'll pretty much stick with the static model. However said that, yes I am going to convert it as below: The 56500 series kriegsloks were used extensively with Steifrahmentender's rather than the tub ones. Have finished the chassis now moving on to the loco body. Erkut Baykal

Hi Erkut, Looking good, how about some blow by blow photos of the Construction. David

Hi Erkut CMK ( Czech Master Kits) has an online shop based in Prague under MPM Productions. There you will find BOTH types of tender for the BR 52 offered plus some other 1-35th scale accessories you might liike. At one time ( and perhaps still currently) CMK offered locomotive crew figures for the BR 52. There s also an American source for these, I shall try to find the U.S. source and post it here. This may not be useful to you as the figures are Epoch II. Cheers from the Heart of the Continent Will

Erkut Baykal- 03-21-2008

Thanks Will, I'd really appreciate it. Nevermind the epoch 2 I'll paint the guys to be epoch 3. David, actually I was thinking in opening a new thread on this subject and share with you all the progress. Not a bad idea. Erkut Baykal

Thanks Will, I'd really appreciate it. Nevermind the epoch 2 I'll paint the guys to be epoch 3. David, actually I was thinking in opening a new thread on this subject and share with you all the progress. Not a bad idea. Erkut BaykalHello Erkut I found BOTH railwaymen figure sets at The Squadron Shops web site Squadron.com . They List the CMK Railwaymen CZF35068 at $21.60 USD and the other ones are from Warriors Figures and are listed as WA35600 BR-52 Engineers at $22.49 USD. Just from the thumbnail pictures shown I would imagine the Warriors Figures set to be more useful as they have one seated figure and the other standing with his hand by his mouth shouting. The CMK figures seem more like "action" figure poses with one having a drawn pistol. Not too useful for a railwayman. At any rate there is the info. Cheers from the Heart of the Continent Will Will, I have checked the squadron website, seems like WA35600 BR-52 Engineers figures might do the job. As for pictures of the progress, hopefully on monday. ErkutHello Erkut Great! Glad the figures might serve you. I look forward to seeing your progress. Cheers from the Heart of the Continent Will

Well finally got some pictures. Its been a week since I have started glueing and just finished the chassis frame. A couple of words on the kit first. It is a breathtaking model and skilfully engineered. The styrene is excellent and one of the best that I have come across in years.(Compared with Faller, Vollmer,...and the likes.) Very nice details. Comes with 18 parts light grey styrene and a total of 700 odd pieces along with photo etched plates. What really struck me was the cab interior and its a pity that once the side panels are mounted it won't be seen. To overcome that I have decided to fit a led inside the cab and put the batteries inside the tender so one can enjoy the details. Ok, here we go, The cab which took a lot of my time: The partially finished chassis frame: ..and with the loco body will continue.. Erkut Baykal

Progress so far... Added a led inside the cab. Sand pipes installed. ...still a long way to go. Erkut Baykal

Looks like a nice build Erkut! Any thoughts yet about rolling stock for the train behind it? Cheers from the Heart of the Continent Where all my lovely snow has melted away and the rivers ice is too thin to skate on!! Will

Erkut Baykal- 04-24-2008

Back from Dortmund and on to the krieg. Latest: The guys I found on KM modellbau's stand. The plates from herr Kuswa. Erkut Baykal
