Trix 21509, HO starter set with 2 steam locomotives
Does anyone have experience with this set? If so are they fairly detailed? I like the fact that there are two sound-equipped steam locomotives and seems to be a pretty good value. Too, I must admit that upgrading the Mobile Station might be inevitable. I'd appreciate any comments...

Paul, No one has answered, so I will do my best. I started with Märklin, but quickly switched to DCC. The issues I had with them are in large part also applicable to Trix. The principle one of relevance to your question is the fact that they supply different locos with some of their Starter Sets than they sell separately - those I have seen have a much lower level of detail! I would strongly recommend that you get a look at the locos in this set before parting with any cash. Regards, Neil
