Still alive...
I know it's been an absolute age since I last posted on here, or indeed even signed in! It's now only nine weeks until I move to New Zealand, and as such I've been trying to pack my life into a series of boxes, deciding what goes into storage and what comes with me, filling in reams of forms, tidying the house for sale, dealing with Estate Agents, somehow taking a foreign trip as well... it's all manic.
Of my diverse model railway interests, I've decided that I'm going to take my DB Epoch IV H0 to NZ with me, as it's the most complete set which takes up least space! Unfortunately my flight case layout turned out to be too large for the flight case (and in fact, the dimensions render the case unsuitable for H0 anyway), which shows the importance of not trusting people's memories!
I'll be living in Lower Hutt, initially in Health Board supplied lodgings, but after a month we'll be renting our own place.
I'm pretty nervous about the whole thing, but you only live once...
My neighbours moved to Aukland about three years ago and from what I hear have no regrets at all.
