Roco DR BR43?
I thought some (or all) may be interested to see this - a Roco BR43: The truth, of course, is that I've been having some fun with a Roco BR44 with the contents of my bits box (Roco BR50 wheels), a few bits of plasticard and a Revell BR43 kit handy. I've taken this quick shot to show how it's cracking on before it gets to the paint shop. Just needs to wait for a couple of very tiny blobs of filler on the top of the domes to harden off before I can rub it down, wash it and paint it. But I had you going for a second there didn't I ? Steph

Roco DR BR44 43351 fitted with BR50 wheels plus bits from Revell kit and a huge amount of skill.

Tim, Glad you like it! Does it run okay? I realised after it had been picked up that I hadn't actually given it a proper running trial. a huge amount of skill modesty precludes me from agreeing - in fact I found it very straightforward. The trickiest job was re-setting the BR50 driving wheels after removing the gear and bearing sleeves. Other than that it's a subtle bodge of Revell parts (cab, steam domes, front steps and platform), plasticard and filler. Now, get the poor thing weathered; it'll make it feel at home... Steph

Its a stunning piece of work Steph. Tim is a lucky man being able to have to it. John
