Hey Guys,
just a comment on Alans Link with the DR V100 colour schemes: The first series of the V100 (BR110) was delivered in red with two white stripes in 1966-67. All following engines had only one white stripe. The green and blue color schemes had only the prototypes and pre-series engines to show-off on fairs for the manufacturer. (LEW Hennigsdorf near Berlin).
The standard color scheme for the BR111 (no train-heating, gearbox adopted for 65 kph) was orange like with the V60/BR106. As the colors were soon bleached by the sunlight, a lot of those engines seemed to be yellow.
The first were built in 1981 and the last one 1983. 63 units were built, the DR got 37 of them, the others were delivered to large industry corporations in the GDR and Czechoslovakia.
