Relief
Lineside photographers should beware of this new innovation.....
"Bulgarian train drivers have been issued with rotating chairs so they can pee out of the window without having to stop.
The drivers' union KNSB complained that, on some older trains, there were no toilets and they were having to pee out of the windows. "
Incidentally, I am somewhat puzzled by this solution. Why aim at the window from a seated position when you could stand at the window ?
Or why not just open the door? Either way, you're not going to be able to tap your SIFA switch (if they have such things) or be able to pay attention as to the track ahead. On a moving train it's also guaranteed to end up on the sides of the engine/train.
p.
Would it not be cheaper to issue them with bin bags?
I was also wondering how the Bulgarian female drivers manage to use the window.
Surely to goodness they only need to provide a bucket with a seat on it.
Or maybe a relief driver (joke!) .
