Pure enjoyment
Hi Guys,
Last night I had Martin Brandt from Stuttgart come and look at my railway (he is in New Zealand for a holiday).
Despite all the research I have done, there was still the nagging doubt that my passenger train compositions were not right. Imagine my surprise (and delight) when he commented that they were pretty accurate.
Its great when that happens. Most people just look at the train and think they are generically German rather than based on prototype practice.
He even confirmed that I had an imbalance between flat roof box cars and barrel roof box cars. This will be fixed when my next Red Cross parcel arrives from Germany.

Shouldn't blow my own trumpet I know.
John, you definitely need to get out more.
 what my life can't revolve around my layout room?
I guess my comment was definitely a case of pot and kettle!!

John,
Congratulations! :D
Its a very gratifying feeling, when all the research bears fruit and you physically have that prototype formation in front of you :8) , ON YOUR LAYOUT! :P
Keep up the good work.
Cheers,
David
