pre-1965 DDR autos
Although the Trabant, Wolga and Wartburg are in plentful supply. There seems to be a dearth of ep3 road vehicles pre-1965 for either West or East Germany.
Anyone care to start a list of what little is available for 1950-65 road vehicles?

Have a look at the Weinert catologue.
I havn't got a recent issue and their web site is not a lot of help but they do make quite a good range of vehicles. They tend to be mainly lorries and I would imagine that they are not exactly cheap.

ADP and other small manufacturers offer some nice vehicles, Bub sell a really nice Wartburg Deluxe in metal.
Click on the link for some info on what was available on the other side of the fence.

Pre war cars did survive in the DDR until quite late. When I got married in 1974 the wedding car was a 1937 Auto Union. You can justify a Merc as people who had both money and relatives in the west could and did import them. I have seen some Czech made cars in the past but cannot rember the name of the firm that made them. Sorry, not much help but it might trigger a responce from somebody.

EKO did a Skoda that is worth looking out for at swapmeets.

I bought the 311 de-luxe from Bub, superb metal model and a personal favourite.
