Ponaldorf
Here is the winery on my as yet unfinished layout. Please note the prototypical drooping gutter, at least you can learn from my mistakes!

Jacq Damen- 10-30-2005

A loose gutter in Ponaldorf  And I thought that everything is sticky in Ponaldorf :?

Roger Marsh- 10-30-2005

Alas the Ponal part only works on the ground scenery and wood!

Roger Marsh- 01-05-2006

Another more progressed view of the layout, this time looking toward the station end of the layout ...... The vineyard in the foreground is yet to have grape vines added, and the water tower is too big and too Prussian for the Sachsen locale, but at least I am building the layout!

Alan Rees- 01-05-2006

Fine work Roger ! But no need to rush, we aren't expecting any more wine until Oktober. There must be a wonderful view from that tower :8) .... the state can keep their  on things ??

Roger Marsh- 01-05-2006

I am getting a VoPo Wartburg soon for keeping eyes on the unruly counter-revolutionary Pastor Sumpf! Thanks for the help with the photo Alan. :D

Jacq Damen- 01-06-2006

That Sumpf must be a troublemaker, asking for rain. Now the request becomes clear with the state the vines are in and Alan's expectations for October ( Is this THE Oktober? )

Roger Marsh- 01-06-2006

Of course he is a trouble-maker! I know him personally!

Greg Mashiah- 01-07-2006

Roger, Are you proposing to celebrate May Day by showing the comrades what a real German model railway looks like (http://www.brisbaneminiaturetrainshow.com.au/)? (Ponaldorf would make an interesting contrast to a non-weathered tailchaser running at ICE speeds with an oomph-pa band playing in the background)! Greg (Mistyping edited)

Roger Marsh- 01-07-2006

Greg, I would like to exhibit, how do I go about getting a spot in the show?

Greg Mashiah- 01-08-2006

Roger, I have sent you a PM (plus an offline e-mail) of contact details for the Brisbane AMRA exhibition. Good luck with Ponaldarf being accepted. There was certainly a mixed bag of layout quality last year - many excellent layouts but a couple were, shall we say, of a rather lower standard. Greg

Courtesy of Alan, a photo my currently unreliable Sachsiche VT entering the station, with an ex-KSächsStsEB Pw Sa07 behind the loco. The colours are a bit funny due to me only using normal flourescent lights to illuminate the photo. One day I will buy some decent lights and a decent digital camera!

Alan Rees- 01-13-2007

Fine work, comrade I like the wagon with the salty smears. Is that what is supposed to be in it ?

Roger Marsh- 01-13-2007

It was weathered as a Kaolin carrying wagon; with talcum powder ..... smells lovely it does! :D

Alan Rees- 01-22-2007

Roger, you've just won the award for the wagon with the best aroma. Do you use any other unusual weathering techniques ?
