NS Plan D Blue A/B Roco 45317 needed
Hello all I need a NS 1st/2nd class coach and Roco no longer make this model. This coach was used in a number of trains running through Germany particularly the one I am trying to model. Is there anyone who may have a coach to spare and be willing to sell? Or even know where I could find one? Andrew

Are you sure that this http://www.totaltrain.nl/show_image.php?id=13274 is what you are looking for? It is to the best of my knowledge a composite 1st ans 2nd class dating for before june 1956, in other words when 3rd class was still around. Not to be confused with what the Fleischmann model is meant to be: a 1st and 2nd class composite, as ran in the 1960's, and with UIC markings, into the 1970's. The Fleischmann is basic, and too short, but I haven't got a better picture to show what I mean. Maybe Roco will get round to making one of these one day.

So this is it: 51 84 38-40 186-2 in Rotterdam on 27th april 1974, in a train from Den Haag CS to Köln. Photo D. Eveleens Maarse. For some reason these 1st and 2nd class composite carriages are called Plan K. I don't see any big differences with the Plan D carriages, other than the fact that the Plan K carriages were built in 1957 and 1958, whereas the Plan D carriages date from 1950 and 1951. You are correct Pierre. The Plan D and Plan K carriages are build from the same design. Plan D was ordered by the Dutch RR just after the war and Plan K was ordered and build in 1957/1958. The main differences between the two can be found in the interior of the carriages, such as the existence of 3rd class compartments in the Plan D carriages. The site by Martijnhaman ( www.martijnhaman.nl ) is an excellent reference for this kind of information. I can however understand its a bit difficult to read for non-Dutch people. If you need any info translated from the site just send me a PM and I will gladly translate it.
