New Bavarian K.Bay.Sts.B.-signals in H0 (and N?)
Hello, at the last 'Länderbahn Forum'-crackerbarrel I had the oppurtunity to see the H0-kits of the new kits of the Bavarian Perron-signals, a long time wide spreaded at the K.Bay.Sts.B., can be found on many station-pics of this time. I was really impressed by the quality and exact details. Since October are 6 versions available by Tobias Frydmans Finescall4all http://www.finescale4all.com/ , like also mentioned in the MIBA online news: http://www.miba.de/neuheit/07/11/fs.htm . The chances for are realization also in 1:160 is well, but not 100 % decided, I give a hint here, when there are news relating this question. Dirk

Dear Dirk, Did any of these Bavarian Perronsignals survive to see use in the Reichsbahn era after 1924?I suspect they might have lingered on obscure lines, but perhaps not.Any help welcome.

Hi Stewart, in a discussion in the Länderbahn - discussion forum http://de.groups.yahoo.com/group/LBF/ the question was not finally decided ( if I rember right ), how long the last perron-signal survived, maybe in a small branchline-station, with or without function. But you can also, ask Tobias Frydman directly, what are the latest news about this topic, he is speaking Englisch perfectly and I'm shure he will reply truly, not only to sell one more kit. I will also ask again in forums, maybe one of the easiest ways is to ask epoche-2-fans, if they know pictures of bavarian stations in era II, where still perronsignals can be seen on it. So I will also ask here http://de.groups.yahoo.com/group/epoche2/ . Dirk

Dear Dirk, Many thanks for all your information.I have just sent an e-mail to finescale4all.com and will await reply from there. The perronsignal would look interesting on a Reichsbahn setting, but maybe they did not survive. Thanks for all your time. Yours aye, Stewart.

Dear Dirk, I received an e-mail from Tobias Frydman and sad to say the perronsignal lasted to 1910 but not after that because the new signalling system from about 1890 took over.He did add that there might be some other new items in his plans that would suit epoch II.I will not give up hope yet. Thanks again for everything, Stewart.
