Need help to identify passenger coach
Hello everyone! Some time ago I've found skeleton of the passenger coach, in the forest near Luga town (~20km), Leningrad region, Russia. As far as I know some russian railways bought coaches in Germany. So, I think this coach is made in Germany. Can someone help to identify this coach? http://scaletrainsclub.com/board/download/file.php?id=668&t=1 http://scaletrainsclub.com/board/download/file.php?id=664&t=1 http://scaletrainsclub.com/board/download/file.php?id=669&t=1 On the photo only one half of the coach, another half were destroed :( I believe that it was such coach: http://scaletrainsclub.com/board/download/file.php?id=735&t=1 I am right or not? Thanks! PS: If someone need - I have some, more detailed, pictures of this coach. Best regards Vasily Vasilchikov.

Help to identify a car
Hello Vasily, welcome to the forum. You are absolutely right, that that wreck is a former Prussian comparment car. But it is hard to identify it precisly, which subtype it could be. I suppose it had been a younger type left in Soviet Union during WW II. many german troop trains in this time consisted of Prussin compartment cars. Best regards, Wolfgang

Hello! Thank you Wolfgang for your answer! So as far as I know, some cars were bought in Germany by different Russian railways before WWII (and before 1917). Could it be such car? Or, in another words, when production of such cars were started? And another question - if any attributes by which car type can be identified precisely? I have access to this coach wreck, and can try to find brand or the tablet of the manufacturer. Where it can be? Thanks alot! Best regards, Vasily

Need to identify a car
Hello Vasily, I did not konow, that Russia bought such cars. I knew , that Soviet Union bought around 1930 used railway material in Germany. For example several locomotives class 91( Prussian T 9.3). Unfortunately it is nearly impossible to identify the wreck precisely-but if there is still the metal framework-have a look on it. There might be an oval metal plate with the name of the factory and the year of pruduction. Or try to find any lettering. If there is nothing to see it is very bad luck- it was not much how to help You. best regards Wolfgang
