My German Visit!Hello,
First thanks for letting me join the group. It was only last year that I got round to visiting some 'foreign' railways, up until now I've concentrated on the British scene, however since my visit to the Leipzig area last May I'm now hooked!
I got a reasonable selection of photo's when I was in Germany,
http://www.railwaymedia.fotopic.net/show_group.php?id=1986 is the link to my 'foreign' front page.
My new project as a result is a German model railway which I have more or less finished the track laying for. I'm not expecting it to reach the standard of modelling that most of you manage, but I'll let you know how it goes (providing it's vaguely presentable!)
Regards
Mark
Hello Mark,
Welcome aboard. I am enjoying your photos. Looking forward to your progress reports.
Mark, welcome and I am pleased that the link I forwarded has been of use.
I know what you mean by being hooked, as you well know I was hooked for a while on the English scene.
But now I am hooked on epoch5 German railways. I wish you luck and as you know you are more than welcome to drop by the club and to ask as many questions you wish and even have a play and a brew.

I'll bring my 143 next time I'm on standby...! :D

Pleased to say I am finding your pics site very handy. I organised a trip from work last October to Berlin by train. Some very impressive trains on view on the journey. Also very good model shops there. I am sorting another trip in Sept/Oct this year to Munich for the beer festival if you are interested. I will be going for the beer AND trains. You will be very welcome.
Hope you visit my site and PLEASE sign the guestbook.
Cheers for now, drop me a line and tell me about your layout.
David
