My German Visit!
Hello, First thanks for letting me join the group. It was only last year that I got round to visiting some 'foreign' railways, up until now I've concentrated on the British scene, however since my visit to the Leipzig area last May I'm now hooked! I got a reasonable selection of photo's when I was in Germany, http://www.railwaymedia.fotopic.net/show_group.php?id=1986 is the link to my 'foreign' front page. My new project as a result is a German model railway which I have more or less finished the track laying for. I'm not expecting it to reach the standard of modelling that most of you manage, but I'll let you know how it goes (providing it's vaguely presentable!) Regards Mark

Hello Mark, only just joined myself and finding this site very useful. Also, Tony is useful - I know him from the Carlisle club. I drive too, based at Workington for Northern. I organised a trip from work last October to Berlin by train. Some very impressive trains on view on the journey. Also very good model shops there.
