More glamour for the 1st class ?Thanks to the budget airlines, the average air hostess is no longer a pin up model. Maybe the DB is going to take advantage of this fact and provide the best looking stewardesses ? :8)
After all the train usually costs more than the plane these days, so train travellers should get some extra value for their money.

Alan,
When was she, this mythical stewardess? If you can tell me I'll set the satnav in my Tardis accordingly.
David
The politically correct term for airlines is flight attendant so does that mean we should call the DB "First Class Steward" a train attendant?
Greg
Greg,
Only in Australia and if your lucky they will throw you a meat pie and a "new".
John
Who outside of Australia knows what a "new" is!
Tim,
Good point and once you find out what it is you probably wouldn't want one anyway!
John
John,
I presume you're correct - Tim strikes me as a "real ale" man.......
(Personally, I drink the apple and grape products rather than the hops prodct)
Greg
Alan,
Was I ever? Who she?

I'm in Australia and I have no idea what a new is.
Hi Neil,
Greg had the answer correct. Its a beer.
Maybe XXXX was to hard to spell, so the changed it to new.
It is a bit hard to go to a bar and say " can I have a Stella, a Becks, a Heineken and a new."
I half expect the bar person to ask me "a new what?"
John

You can go to any bar in New South Wales and ask for new or old without any problems! Totally off topic, but here is some interesting Toohey's company history:
Tooheys dates from 1869, when John Thomas Toohey (an Irish immigrant from Melbourne) obtained his brewing license and commenced brewing Tooheys Old in a purchased brewery at the present day Darling Harbour area of Sydney. In 1902, the company went public as Tooheys Limited, and commenced brewing lager (the present day Tooheys New) in 1930. In 1955, the brewery moved to Lidcombe, where it is currently sited. Bond Corporation purchased Tooheys in 1984. In 1992, Tooheys was purchased by Lion Nathan, which remains its owner. (from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tooheys).
To link all this to the forum, Tooheys also produces Hahn, which I am told is a German style lager. I wonder if Tooheys would ever convince a manufacturer to produce a Hahn beer wagon - it could increase the popularity of modelling German railway in Australia!
