For some scratchbuilt jewels, also in "N" see http://hem.passagen.se/jorgen.edgar/. This Swedish gentleman seems to build all his models from scratch in N-scale. Models are made from simple materials such as card, clear plastic foils, and wire. His current project is to make a "complete" set of all engines and railcars used by the state railroads of western Europe. To date that's 1500 models. Models are non-functioning.
