Mikes new Marklin era III layout
Here are a couple of recent pics of my Marklin late era III steam layout. Motive power are all classic Marklin steamers, model 3021 BR81 heavy shunting tank, 3047 BR44 heavy goods lok, and a 3048 BR01 express lok. Eventualy there will be a brewery on the layout, the station kit and platform lights are on the way now, should have them later this week I hope. The layout is set in the week before Christmas and the station platforms will be just packed with holiday travelers and the town will also get decorated for the holidays. Track is all Marklin M track. Layout size is 36" x 80", the surface is an interior hollow core interior door. Very lightweight and portable so I can haul it to the local train show twice each year.
