KBayStsB Loco Green
http://www.gwr.org.uk/Liverieslococolour.html As I have mentioned on another thread, GWR Post-28 loco green is the nearest colour to the later KBayStsB green used after '10. Normally lined with black for non-express locos and black with a thin white or yellow line for express locos, you could attempt to use LNER lining but it is overscale. As the loco remained in service, its colour would either deteriorate with dirt to a darker hue whilst express locos were carefully cleaned, the green would fade. No two locos were ever exactly the same but I can see no reason why GWR Post-28 green could not be used with black lining for most KBayStsB locos in the early 20th century. Certainly a better concept than using all the many variations offered by Roco, Fleischmann and Trix, I suggest that closest to an authentic livery is the small 2-4-0's from Trix unfortunately they were virtually extinct by the time that the remaining ready to run models came into service. If you had to build a small authentic EpI layout based on the KBayStsB, you might consider the late 1890's and use only the appropriate Trix models on offer with just one or two (if affordable) MMK or DJH kits. Just a thought.

Was the same shade of green used for rolling stock? Tede

I just looked at the trix models....very expensive  :D ....I can buy 3-4 bachmann or Hornby locos for the price of 1 trix loco....but there were a few that did set me drooling with desire

The MaTrix B VI is now about 10-15 years old but still looks stunning. What is excellent is that Trix have brought out some more freight rolling stock for it The box car and stock wagon look great, but why they brought out two "beer" cars remains a marketing mystery! If you also purchased the Maerklin Passenger set as well you have a really good basis to start a layout. I am not tempted (well maybe just a little). John
