Kato "Fliegender Hamburger"
I have recently bought a near perfect appearance example of the Deutsche Reichsbahn Fliegender Hamburger, but I find I need a motor to power it. Can anyone please help me find one? Thankyou - David

What gauge is it? N or H0? Maybe this could be of some help (although they cater for american outline only): http://www.katousa.com/parts-catalog/information.html

David, can you give a bit more background. Is the unit currently fitted with a motor which is broken, or is this some kind of unmotorised version which you want to convert? If a non functioning motor needs replacing, can you give us some info on the motor, or better still a pic. Of course, SB Modellbau offer Faulhaber conversions for this model but they are quite expensive. (www.sbmodellbau.de) David

I will now dismantle it and find out more to tell you. Kind regards, David

David I've got one of these on my layout. Somewhere I have the literature that came with it which, presumably gives some sort of information on spares and disassembly. Do you need a copy? David

I have the newest Kato in H0 and N as well. Still not sure what gauge we are discussing... Peter

Hello Peter, My model is in N Scale. David

Hi David I'm a bit mystified by the original question. Is this model just not working, were you intending fitting a better motor, or do you think it is missing its motor? Cheers
