I've just had a week away from work, the internet and even railways ... and I thoroughly enjoyed it !

Peter Verheyen- 09-25-2006

We are having an elevator addition put on the house (that included breaking through the basement wall where the layout is) so I had to cover up the layout... Not a problem accept the contractors said they would start 3 weeks after the contract was signed and be done in another 4 weeks, and it turned out they started 4 months later... Should have known. They also had to run wires over the layout which seeme risky as they could have gone around (same distance) but miraculously the only damage was a crashed helicopter and smashed tree. Even though they're not done (but close) I spent a delightful weekend cleaning scenery and track and running trains. About 5 hours worth yesterday alone. Absolutely wonderful and ready for more. Peter

Well, I was trying to manage, contemporarily, weathering of some Epoche I and II wagen (if anybody interested I may post photos), completion of a brass kit of an FS wagen, works on the layout and on... a MiG 31 kit!!! I assure you it's enough to keep me busy each after-dinner (and often I exploit the pre-dinner too!) Ciao, Andrea

Well, I was trying to manage, contemporarily, weathering of some Epoche I and II wagen (if anybody interested I may post photos), I would be very interested to see your photos. The ideal place to exhibit them would be in the Member's Gallery forumer.com/viewforum.php?f=6" target="_blank">http://germanrail.8.forumer.com/viewforum.php?f=6

Alan, I'll try to post them this afternoon... Andrea

Jurgen Kleylein- 10-13-2006

I'm -*test*-('") fitting a Loksound decoder into my BR64 (not exactly a drop-in fit, but I'm sure it can be done), working on some drawings of a selectively compressed version of the Würzburg electric shop building for a diorama which will be incorporated into my future layout, and getting ready for our club's open house tomorrow as well. For some reason, I keep letting Work get in the way of all these more important activities... Jurgen

Busy getting ready for the local train show coming up Nov 6th, and looking for a new job, unemployed right now. Here is a pic of the portable layout I take to shows, I got my track screws today and got 95% fastened down, waiting on the final pair of remote turnouts for the passing siding to arrive. Cheers Mike and Michele T

This is going to look seriously impressive when completed, Frank. I remember similarly massive structures in my youth in Scotland. Sadly they're all gone now, having vanished in the rush to de-industrialise Britain in the 1980s. Don't forget to let us all see the finished work! Donkey world! Dave.

Dave Smith- 10-20-2006

Also, isn't that a Dutch loco at the foot of the building? Clearly I'm not the only one who was infected at 's Hertogenbosch! Dave.

Dave Smith- 10-30-2006

It appears to have brought along a friend...! :D Best wishes, Dave.

John Woodall- 11-06-2007

Looks good Tim, Have they caught the vandal that broke the window in the locoshed? John

John Woodall- 11-06-2007

So did you paint the inside of the locshed, or is it just naturaaly quite dark in there?

David Ingram-Seal- 11-06-2007

As the layout is still in storage,it gives me the opportunity to gather all the track furniture and fittings, needed when I can get started. So browsing on line and ordering whats required. First batch of weinert DB signs received from Three point five today. Really pondering how far to go with the detailing(I have visions of point rodding/full signal wires)or is life to short? Do I order faller gas heating or some braziers to keep my points from freezing up? David

Paul Eaton- 11-07-2007

Tim, What is a loco release?
