Intermodellbau 07
Spent a good day at the show, as usual the traders were maxed out with the throng of middle aged men shufflin' past but why do they have to wear back packs?
Hall 8 did not diasappoint although I could not recall any outstanding model railway layoput, the highpoint had not no railway at all- Rockenfeld an HO village in the style of Pendon Parva on the Moba booth. Despite its excellent modelling and realism, it seemed to be largely ignored and this was unfortunate as it was, for me, the highlight of the expo.
I know the small layout you mention. Patrice Hamm is a good friend of mine. He is from the Elzas and he has built a copy of Rickewehr, a small village with timberframed houses and a diorama of a farm with all it's buildings with on the background some typical cave houses.
for the first time in more than 10 years I leave Modellbau for what it is.
Most probably next year I will be there with the final arrangement of the layout.

Nice series of layout photos from the Intermodellbau exposition currently being held in Dortmund. Not much in the way of vendor reports, but this is much more interesting.
Just go to< http://www.moba-deutschland.de/imb2007/indx.htm> and click under "Berichte." Reports for the first four days are up and future ones are usually live by 1pm EST (-5GM).

Tim,
Are you sure that the diorama was made by Patrice Hamm, the credit is Kurt und Susanne Nesselhauf?
This is not built by Patrice, I saw the photó's too late.
slowly regaining pleasure in the modelrailroading again
