Help identifying coach types in EN379
Afternoon folks, I've been planning to model EN379 "Kopernikus", and I could really do with a bit of help identifying some of the coaches... well, most! All I've got to go on is a video I took in Wuppertal before boarding (so the last three of coaches are missing, but luckily I was able to note their types upon arrival in Prague). So far I've managed to note the following... DBAG BR120 DBAG ??? (Prob Bocmh) DBAG ??? (Prob Bvcmz) DBAG ??? (Prob Bvcmbz) DBAG ??? (Poss WLABmz) RZD WLABmee PKP ??? (Poss WLABd) PKP ??? (Poss WLABdmnu) PKP ??? (Prob WLABdmnu) ??? (Prob DBAG Bvcmz,Poss PKP Bbhmnu) DBAG Bvcmz PKP Bdhmnu DBAG Bocmh DBAG Bvcmz DBAG Bvcmbz CD WLABmz (last four cars noted at Praha Holesovice following morning!) If anyone can help me confirm identities for the cars I'm not sure about, it would be great. Also, so would any pointers to models available of them in any scale! The video is online at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8D8vEHC8Ow Cheers Richard

Hard to tell from that video sorry but what I could glance was the first DB coaches looked liked ex DR rebuilds and the one with the windows grouped in two looked like an old couchette style car (once made by roco). I'm not sure anyone does the PKP sleepers as a model. (IIRC the one with the writing on is very posh with en suites and DVD's.) Heris might be your best bet: http://www.heris-modelleisenbahn.de As for the Russian coach the only one I've ever seen made in that colour was an old sachenmodel one (came in a set of 4) which I have. But it was the modern one, which is shown and was made in Germany http://www.bahn.de/nachtzugreise/view/reiseinformationen/reiseinfo.shtml might have some more info. (beware, lots of ads) If you know the train number this might help (346 looks like the one you want) http://www.fernbahn.de/ and then click on: Wagenreihungen der Deutschen Bahn Hope something here helps. Cheers Sarah. I've actually managed to get the train pretty well IDed now (with the help of Fernbahn), and now I'm working on finding the coaches in model form. Here's the list of IDs. DBAG BR120 (Fleischmann) DBAG Bomdz (Sachsenmodelle 74690) DBAG Bvcmz DBAG Bvcmbz DBAG WLABmz (Roco) RZD WLABmee (forthcoming from L.S. Models) BC WLABmee (forthcoming from L.S. Models) PKP WLABdmnu PKP WLABdmnu DBAG Bvcmbz (blue /white PKP style) DBAG Bvcmz PKP Bdhmnu DBAG Bomdz (Sachsenmodelle 74690) DBAG Bvcmz DBAG Bvcmbz CD WLABmz (Railtop) As noted, I've found a couple from various makes. I suspect that some repaints will be in order too- the couchettes have been available in other liveries from Heris. I'm actually on the verge of just modeling the Berlin-Prague portion, but I do feel it's a cop-out!
