German TripHello,
Had a few days in Hamburg the week before last. Now I've finally finished processing them (!), if anyone is interested the photo's are at:
http://www.railwaymedia.fotopic.net/c1302300.html (Mainly Wesel & Winsen),
http://www.railwaymedia.fotopic.net/c1304464.html (Sylt: Auto-Zugs, IC's & NOBs)
http://www.railwaymedia.fotopic.net/c1305374.html (218s on the Lübecks before electrification)
http://www.railwaymedia.fotopic.net/c1308332.html (Final day before flight, Dörverden & Bremen)
They'll be there for about 3 weeks before they get sorted into the relevant collections.
Cheers
Mark
Mark,
I particularly enjoyed the photos of the 218s on the Hamburg - Lübeck route. My idea of relaxing after work is to sit in the compartment next to the engine and enjoy the hydraulic roar. I prefer the the local RB service because the window can be opened to improve the accoustics and regular starts. In two years this will all be a memory.

Thanks Alan.
If of interest, the state of electrification at the moment is that posts are in place more or less all the way from the start of the Hamburg line proper south of the depot/yard at Lübeck as far as Hamburg-Tonndorf, with the bases ready concreted from there to about Hamburg-Hasselbrook. The cantilevers are in place only round the Bad Oldesloe area and in the station area there the wiring seems to be more or less complete.
Still little sign in the Lübeck Hbf and Hamburg Hbf areas.
