Tims very loud with his silence? David

Jim Thompson- 05-14-2008

I know  - what was it from way back..."The deafening silence"? :D Maybe he will stun us all and go with N-gauge Shinkansen? Peace, Jim (Simon and Garfunkel are warming up back stage)

David Frew- 05-14-2008

We could run a book on the outcome. Sort of sweep with all the possibilites from DB branchline at 2:1 all the way to Thomas the Tank Engine at 1000:1

Jim Thompson- 05-15-2008

Now I have always been a supporter of the "runt-of-the-litter", or the 16th seed in the NCAA March Madness Basketball Tourney (GO NC Ag & Tech!), or the "Long Shot" (GO Seabiscuit!), and I so wanted "Eddie The Eagle" to win the Ski Jump in the Olympics (Eddie! Eddie! - true Olympic Spirit!) :D I am putting my vote in at 1000:1 for Thomas and the Ffarquhar Branch! :D Can Erkut still play since he seems to have "insider" information - he must have had a gin-and-tonic with the train-er... Ah, living the vicarious lifestyle... Peace, Jim

David Frew- 05-15-2008

I also have insider info, but am sworn to secrecy. I was hoping to get good odds if we ran the book.

Peter Verheyen- 05-15-2008

It's Lummerland. Tim needs a German prototype... p.

Erkut Baykal- 05-15-2008

By the way, where is Tim ? Erkut Baykal

David Frew- 05-15-2008

working on his new layout. I spoke with him yesterday

John Woodall- 06-06-2008

Still no word or hints. Altzegruppe website no longer works. Has Tim gone to the dark side and is modelling a non germanic prototype? John

Peter Verheyen- 06-07-2008

He needs to re-register the domain name. It's expired. I had this happen with my primary (non model rr) site several years ago. Annoying, but happens. p. Still no word or hints. Altzegruppe website no longer works. Has Tim gone to the dark side and is modelling a non germanic prototype? John

Gene Kruger- 06-09-2008

Tim....looks like an interesting project.....any chance of it being exhibited...or is it strictly a home layout??? Cheers Gene

After a couple of months or so of careful consideration, I have decided to let Grafenwalde go to David Frew whilst any and all remaining items will be offered to the forum, before being sold off on EBay. Nothing dramatic caused this and I have enjoyed 35 years of modelling German railways but I simply cannot find anything capable of sustaining my interest in the current climate. Tim

Peter Verheyen- 06-23-2008

Tim, Very sorry to hear of this, but know that whatever you decide to model, it will be exemplary and inspiring. I hope that you will continue with this site. What do you mean by "current climate?" Best wishes, Peter Nothing dramatic caused this and I have enjoyed 35 years of modelling German railways but I simply cannot find anything capable of sustaining my interest in the current climate. Tim

Neil S Wood- 06-23-2008

Have you decided to take up UK modelling Tim?

David Ingram-Seal- 06-25-2008

Tim, Good choice, are you working EM, P4, or 16.5 ? I must admit, I keep looking at my native Ns,Qs.BBs,WCs,MNs and Brits. But come down to earth when I look at the layout. Enjoy, David
