Hello Tim
A little bit stuff for your enlightenment
The steam engines class 65 were new buildings of passenger train tender locomotives of the DB.
They were intended for the suburb- and metropolitan railway traffic in densely populated areas. There they should replace the classes 78 and 93.5. Accordingly they were assigned at first to the depot Darmstadt, Duesseldorf and Letmathe.
Between Duesseldorf and Essen they used for the "S-Bahn" prototype.
Between Limburg/Lahn and Wiesbaden and around Darmstadt carried the class 65 however also goods trains.
The total number are 18 piece in 3 variants.

Number 65 014 - 65 018 with mixed water heater.
Number 65 012 - 65 018 with push-pull controls.
