BR 06 Colour
Is there any informationout either in pictures or print that say what colour the DRG BR 06 was? I see that Brawa has added a red one, so that makes it the following: Black Grey Green with yellow stripes Red I do remember seeing a picture of one with the stripes somewhere but it was in black and white,maybe an old German train magazine Regards Anthony On the wish list if winning the lottery would be one of each colour with sound, I do have a green one.

BR 06 Colour
Hello, it might be most likely that Br 06 locos have been painted in black and red livery, like 01.10 and 03.10 locos. Because only 05 001-003 and 03 193 have been painted in "wine-red", but it was a very sensitive painting. After several weeks in service these locos looked very dirty( nearly black) . why should reichsbahn paint 06 locos in a painting scheme, that has been left at the mid of WW I ?? I read somewhere although I cannot remeber where that the red paint scheme was applied to some prestigous express trains. The E19 also had a red livery.

Hi Guys, Well I have looked up as much as possilb and all I can find is the same picture of the BR 06 with the stripes, so I gather that it was green with the yellow stripes as per the first BRAWA model, one of the two BR 06 was destroyed by a bomb and the other was srapped in 1955, so if anybody has other pictures of a BR 06 without the stripes I would like to see it. The red one that BRAWA is bringing out soon will be so nice, I really won't care if it is right or not, the green one that I have is such a great model, I just love it, sound and all, I have installed the latest ESU LOKsound 3.5 in it and it really sounds great, very happy with it. BRAWA will also be releasing the couches that go with it in early 2008 45209 45210 45211 and 45404, I need to start saving now!! Regards Anthony

The coaches appeared in the 2005/2006 catalogue and reappeared in 2007 with different numbers. I got a set in 2006 and they are well worth the money.

Hi Neil, This years ones are a later varient (1937) as they have the eagle on the side rather than the round crest between the windows. John
