Ballasting Fleischmann Profi Track
OK, this topic is a slight contradiction, but I am planning to add some fine ballast to the edges of my profi track, so I can have some grass poking through and a little bit of colour variation. This works fine on the straights and curves, but not when you come to the points, which have small openings on the sides to attach switch motors and the like. These are prime receptors for ballast glue. I have already had to rebuild one of these points when some glue leaked in during grass laying. Has anyone had experience with ballasting Profi points before? I am considering using some sort of silicon water sealant to plug the gaps. Thanks in advance!

Shoot this one down if you want - mould a little blutak over, not into the gaps & it may just do the trick - not tried it but I've had the same problem & just thought of the possible solution. Please let me know if it works (if you try it of course).
