Bad Doberan - Kuehlungsborn
Gentleman, spend some days in the Baltic’s. Was quite pleased to find a holiday flat pretty next to the steam operated line “Bad Doberan – Kuehlungsborn”. This line was raised in 1886 by supervision of Stettin Company Lenz & Co as 900 mm narrow gauge line. Lenz build many lines in the former princedom of Mecklenburg. (Auhagens´ Krakow am See is a fine example). These days Bad Doberan – Kuehlungsborn is more or less a living museum. Everything is lovely restored. There is traffic every hour. It is worth a visit. Here are some pictures: 1) 2321 in Kühlungsborn West. 2) 2321 switching at Kühlungsborn West. 3) 900 mm Gauge 4) 2323 at Heiligendamm Station 5,6) under Era 1 suspect. This GG railcar was build in 1922. Restored in 2000. Lovely. There´s also an internet page on this railline. Check out: http://www.molli-bahn.de/Home.5.0.html Greetings, Peer
