Bachmann decoder 44915
Hello, all. As you might have seen on a different topic, I'll have to replace my old Roco decoders due to incompatibility issues. The only ones that I can get here (quickly and easily) are the Bachmann's 44915, for around 18,50 euros each. Are they good enough? Otherwise, I'll have to buy over the Internet overseas and have them delivered thru mail, with almost two to three times the price per decoder. So, is it worth the price and trouble to buy Lenz Gold (or Zimo) instead and pay the overprice?. Thanks in advance,

AFAIK these decoders are rebadged Lenz with less features. I would get just one, fit it & see how well it works, before you decide. Hope this helps.

AFAIK these decoders are rebadged Lenz with less features. That is strange, the SPROG2 programme identifies my Bachmann and Roco decoders as ESU type decoders. You should be aware that there are two variants of recent Bachmann decoder, 36-552 and 36-553, the latter has BEMF control for low speed running.
