The Moba website says:
The manufacturers Lenz Elektronik GmbH, tams elektronic and ZIMO have founded a user group to develop response-standards for digital layouts. It doesn’t matter whether your layout is 10 or 1000 meter, hand-controlled or with pc, only for switching or just for “reading”
You may use your old digital components, you may combine components of different producers, you are using the tracks for response. Now you will know what’s going on your layout.
What will be interesting about this is whether ESU and Uhlenbrock decide to join as well.
Is this a result of the European developers feeling constrained by the current NMRA standards or is it because some of the things that they are developing are being hindered in relation to setting the appropriate standards by NMRA bureaucracy?
When you look at innovation it is the Europeans that are leading the way in terms of technology, if not hardware as well.
