Lovely work Alan, and yes, a BR 64 would be very nice in O!
Dave.
The fine modelling was the work of Hans Hackner. IMHO it was the most attractive exhibit at the ARGE Spur 0 Meeting in Aarau.
The diesel shunter was highly entertaining with its repertoir of sound effects and, as I already mentioned, the DCC controlled coupling and uncoupling was very impressive.
Yes, Dave the BR64 should be worth waiting for:

No, but it looks to be about 2 metres in length.
Did Hans weather the stock or do they come pre weathered from Lenz?
John
Lenz doesn't offer weathered versions, as you can see here:
http://www.lenz-elektronik.de/spur0/spurnull_pw.php .
Hans' attention to the coaches matches his fine work on the surrounding buildings and scenery.

I doubt it, because if it is available, surely Lenz would not have missed the opportunity to show it to the largest gathering of German, Swiss and Austrian O Gauge modellers this year. I suspect Lenz is probably following the O Gauge tradition of taking sufficient orders before risking a production run.
That is a fabulous piece of modelling! It's enough to tempt me to switch to O! Are there any more photos of this lurking on the net? Thanks.

Hi Steve
Thanks very much indeed for the reply - sorry for the delay in responding but have been away a few days!
Yup, I think my US HO trains are gonna be heading towards ebay - this stuff just looks so good. Had a chat with Alan at mackay models who was very helpful and friendly. He was telling me about the forthcoming points with built in motors and moving lanterns as well as the stock - it all looks good. I hope a few other German companies get in on this - and some kit manufacturers too.
Best regards and thanks again.
